An opportunity has become available to join our dynamic team. This is a pivotal role in Research Governance, responsible for reviewing and setting up hosted studies. The post holder will be an expert in research governance with sound knowledge of clinical research management. They will be a member of the research management team, responsible for planning, coordinating, developing, and delivering a high-quality care research service across Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, in accordance with the UK Framework for Health & Social Care, and for clinical trials in accordance with the International Conference on Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership qualities that reinforce the Trust's values and beliefs.
Main duties of the job
The research manager provides expert research advice and support both within and outside of the Trust, ensuring that the Trust's key performance indicators are met for their research portfolio. They act as the lead specialist for the NHS confirmation of capacity (Trust R&D approval) process, providing detailed advice to both specialists and non-specialists. They support all aspects of research delivery, including feasibility, study setup, conduct of the research project, and study close-down.

Person specification
Understanding/experience of NIHR and/or HRA
* At least 2 years of experience
* Experience of setting up and managing a portfolio of NIHR research within a multidisciplinary team, adhering to protocol requirements
