The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery is the United Kingdom's oldest and largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital. Molly Lane Fox ward is a 26-bedded Acute Neurosurgical ward and Brain Tumor Unit. It is a fast-paced and dynamic working environment with ample development opportunities. It is an exciting time to be involved with an expanding team and develop services while supporting and working closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant must be highly motivated and enthusiastic about teaching all grades of junior staff within the ward. The candidate must be an outstanding communicator, can demonstrate first-rate organisational and multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively and efficiently in a busy and demanding work environment.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to support, train, develop, and educate others, work well autonomously and as a team member.
The successful candidate should always practise the Trust values and seek to work alongside nursing colleagues to deliver a high standard of individualised care. Support of the Trust direction on inclusivity and diversity within all areas of the role and service will also be integral to the role.
You must hold a 'teaching in the clinical setting' certificate or equivalent and have a qualification and/or experience in a Neuroscience setting or a relevant specialty. 'Neuroscience' courses would be highly advantageous.
