Main duties of the job
Both our Surgery Directorate and Medicine and Urgent Care Directorate at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust are passionate about getting it right for patients and their families. We are an extremely friendly, forward-thinking and progressive division looking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Band 5 Registered Nurses who are seeking to start or progress their career.
The acute clinical and compassionate leadership skills you will gain from working within any of these specialties will be highly advantageous for individuals aspiring to become a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist or Advanced Clinical Practitioner in the future. In order to achieve the latter you will be supported by a preceptorship programme (if applicable), as well as Senior Sister, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Practice Development Nurse and the Matron. The breadth and depth of specialties would also be an ideal platform for individuals with aspirations of starting a career within a critical care environment.
We will be providing integrated services liaising directly with community teams, offering excellent networking opportunities. We have a very exciting range of acute specialties within the medicine and surgery directorate.
