We are recruiting for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) at a Special School in Lichfield, working in the EYFS and KS1 department. This is an ongoing, full-time role, supporting younger students with a range of SEND needs. The position will start as soon as the right person is found.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support EYFS and KS1 students with a range of SEND needs, including Autism, non-verbal communication, and cognitive challenges.
- Proactively work to support the learning and development of pupils in the early years and Key Stage 1 classes.
- Assist in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's individual needs.
Requirements:
- Experience in SEND, particularly in supporting students with Autism, non-verbal communication, and cognitive development.
- A TA qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to take initiative and adapt to the needs of the students.
