P&L recruitment are delighted to be working with our well-established client based in North Ayrshire to recruit an experienced Payroll Assistant to join a busy finance department. The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously on their own initiative to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. My client offer a great culture and team environment. The main duties are: Processing a weekly payroll from start to finish To accurately input and process all relevant data required for Payroll, including, salaries, overtime/shift/call-out payments, bonuses, benefit deductions, voluntary deductions, maternity/paternity allowances, sickness. Process and submit statutory year end returns and P60s. Process all new starters and leavers Maintaining and ensuring all authorised holidays and paid correctly Dealing with payroll queries Ensure compliance with PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, SPP, Pension Schemes and CIS Returns, and experience of handling RTI, Auto-enrolment, and Tax Year End processes The main requirements: Previous payroll experience is essential Highly proficient IT skills including Sage and Excel First class communication skills Strong team player Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment My client offers a highly competitive salary and career advancement for the successful candidate.
