Beverley Grammar School is a popular 11–18 boys’ comprehensive with a Joint Sixth Form with the neighbouring girls’ school. We focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, increased student attainment and achievement, and social and emotional development for all students.
You will be responsible for:
1. Co-ordinating standard assessments for reading and spelling.
2. Co-ordinating and running the reading pathway catch-up interventions.
3. Working closely with disadvantaged students to raise the profile of reading.
4. Organising and assisting whole school events aimed at creating a positive reading culture.
5. Assisting with all aspects in the effective running of the Learning Resource Centre.
6. Providing supervision and assistance to all users of the Learning Resource Centre.
7. Maintenance of the computerised Library Management Programme.
Hours: 21 per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8.30am – 4pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break during term-time only as part of a permanent contract.
Note: Lunch break cannot be taken between 12.30pm & 1.30pm.
