Long Term Futures is seeking an approachable and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join a thriving secondary school in Enfield EN3. This role is ideal for individuals who can engage with students, build positive relationships, and promote good behaviour both in and out of lessons.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and the SEN team, ensuring that students are engaged in their learning and following school behaviour expectations. You will support students who need additional guidance, mentoring, and strategies to regulate their behaviour in a positive and structured way.
- Work with students across multiple year groups, supporting them in and out of lessons
- Encourage and promote positive behaviour, helping students remain engaged in their learning
- Mentor students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, offering guidance and behavioural strategies
- Liaise with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement support plans for students
- Encourage self-discipline, confidence, and resilience, providing students with tools to succeed
- Monitor student progress and behaviour, ensuring early intervention where needed
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting (mentoring, youth work, coaching, or behaviour support)
- A relatable and approachable personality, with strong communication skills
- Experience supporting students with behaviour management in a mainstream secondary setting
- Ability to build positive relationships and act as a role model for students
- A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach to mentoring and behaviour support
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday
- Paid £110 - £125 per day, term time only
- Based in Enfield EN3, London, with excellent transport links
- Immediate start, with potential for a long-term or permanent role
