Acorn by Synergie is looking for manufacturing Machine Operators to work with their client who are a Global Brewing Company.
Duration of work: Temporary long-term
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off 2 days 2 nights & 4 off working 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am
Hourly pay rate: £14.70 per hour for first 12 weeks, £18.11 per hour from week 13, and £20.12 per hour from week 39 onwards. Overtime rate of £26.05 per hour is payable from your 13th week onwards and will be paid for all hours worked over 48 hours per week.
Primary purpose and function of position:
To undertake daily / weekly / monthly activities in order for the Packaging Department to meet KPI requirements for cost, quality, service and behaviours through agreed ways of working.

Packaging Department area within scope: Depaletiser Operator Workstation From start to end of Packaging Operations, including raw materials From BBT to final packaged product

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Comply with all Statutory & Legal requirements Comply with all Safety, Health & Environment requirements Comply with any appropriate packaging or food hygiene safety regulations as defined by policy or legislation, such as HACCP Comply with all Product & Process Quality requirements Comply with all Housekeeping, Cleaning & 5S requirements Comply with basic asset care requirements. This is a requirement for all operators, not just those that previously had the Asset Care grade Operate Packaging Equipment in order to ensure the department delivers finished goods of the right quality, at the right time and at the right cost to the logistics department Undertake improvement activities to ensure the department meet the KPI (Key Performance Indicators) Targets, such as PI tracking (Performance Indicators), Short Interval Control (SIC) Undertake training for new skills & tasks within Packaging Department in line with PDP's. The primary objective being to up-skill those with fewer skills. Undertake any packaging related tasks, as directed by the Multi Operator or First Line Manager. Attend Meetings & Briefings as necessary. Comply with all documentation and transactions required to operate and improve performance in the department. Ensure that all internal customer requirements are met.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Competencies:
Education:
English & Mathematics Standard Grades or equivalent. Packaging or Engineering based qualification preferred. Experience:
Packaging and or Engineering experience an advantage - Autonomous Maintenance. Technical competencies: (Job related) All operational training to be able to do the role is provided FLT Licence where appropriate (Keg Palletiser) * Employees may be required to work within any area of their department, subject to operational requirements, provided:
1) They have received the necessary training to work within that area 2) It is safe and legal for them to do so
If additional skills are required within a department, these will be offered on a voluntary basis in the first instance. Should there be insufficient volunteers for training; selection for new skills will be made at the discretion of the manager, with the primary objective of up-skilling those with fewer skills, in the first instance, whilst still ensuring operational efficiencies are protected.
