Consumer Duty Regulatory Lead – Salary circa £80,000

A bit about the job:
You will be an individual contributor working with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that our IWR business upholds and continually advances its approach to meeting Consumer Duty standards. This is crucial for maintaining consumer trust and confidence and for enabling the IWR business to maintain a transparent and trusted relationship with its regulators.
Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty Expertise: You will provide specialist conduct risk and consumer duty advice, challenge, and guidance across IWR Business Units and support functions, informing the standards to which the IWR business operates in delivering good customer outcomes and mitigating risks of consumer harm.
Regulatory Reporting: You will work with a range of business stakeholders to ensure that information provided in response to regulatory information requests is of high quality and clarity in relation to our Consumer Duty commitments. Lead Consumer Duty-related thematic reviews.
Consumer Duty Insight and Benchmarking: You will maintain a close understanding of regulatory expectations and regular external benchmarking of IWR Consumer Duty-related practices with industry peers to inform continual enhancement. Conduct regular analysis of FCA communications in the context of IWR’s Consumer Duty approaches.
Conduct Annual Consumer Duty Assessments: You will provide Consumer Duty and regulatory expertise in the completion of Consumer Duty Annual Board Assessments for IWR and its subsidiaries.
Culture: You will lead and document an annual assessment of IWR’s culture in the context of Consumer Duty for reporting to IWR management and board committees.
Facilitate Training and Best Practices: You will collaborate with Aviva Group Learning & Development, Legal & Compliance to provide training on consumer duty obligations at all levels of the organisation (including Boards and specialist functions), ensuring that best practices are shared across Aviva markets to maintain a “One Aviva” approach.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Extensive expertise and experience in highly regulated environments with deep knowledge of regulatory expectations in relation to the Consumer Duty and its application in a large and complex organisation.
* Comprehensive understanding of financial and regulatory risks/issues relevant to Insurance, Wealth and Retirement business in the context of consumer outcomes and risks of consumer harm.
* Experience in leading regulatory interactions in the context of the Consumer Duty.
* Significant experience in stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organisation, including Executive Leaders and Boards.
* Strong leadership abilities, with experience in delivering to challenging timelines across a range of business areas and contacts.

* Salary: circa £80,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
* Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
