JOB SUMMARY
About us
At Fallen & Felled, we’re all about giving new life to London’s fallen trees - transforming what would otherwise be discarded into beautiful timber and furniture. We’re a small friendly team that takes pride in our sustainable ethos, craftsmanship and the joy of working with the best of English hardwoods.
The Role
Do you have a knack for organisation and a head full of ideas to make processes work better? Do you have a genuine interest in wood? If so, we’d love to have you on board as our Timber Stock Coordinator. You’ll play a vital role bringing order and efficiency to our expanding timber warehouse, working closely with our Timber Production Manager and our skilled furniture makers to make the most of every board. Our aim is to be able to show the provenance of all our timber – linking every board we sell back to the tree it was milled from.
Key Responsibilities
1. Set up and maintain an easy-to-use system to label and record every piece of timber we produce, ensuring all stock is tracked and the boards properly stored in our timber warehouse.
2. Make our timber inventory easily accessible for the team to match stock to customer enquiries.
3. Help pick timber for orders and be able to cut boards to size, pack and arrange deliveries.
4. Take photos of timber boards and upload them to our website for online sale.
5. Work with the team to keep refining and improving our stock management, with a focus on efficiency.
6. Work with our Marketing Manager to showcase stock creatively and develop online sales opportunities.
7. Safely move and handle timber boards, both indoors and outdoors in the yard – this is very much a hands-on role.
Essential Skills & Qualities
1. A convincing interest in wood and a desire to deepen your knowledge.
2. Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
3. Comfortable using computers, including Excel and some experience managing large numbers of data records.
4. A self-starter who enjoys solving problems and getting stuck in.
5. Confidence in manual handling and also likes working outdoors.
6. Able to use power and hand tools and come up with solutions to practical everyday challenges.
7. A confident and enthusiastic communicator – keen to share information and work as a team.
8. Driving licence and transport to get to RM14 3TL.
Useful Skills & Experience
1. Experience of DIY, furniture-making, workshop or construction industry.
2. Experience setting up or improving stock management systems.
3. Experience working with sales and marketing functions to develop sales.
4. A passion for sustainability.
5. Forklift driving experience.
Why Join Us?
1. Be part of a skilled and passionate team in a growing, carbon-negative business that’s helping reduce the UK’s reliance on imported hardwoods.

4. Enjoy working in a collaborative atmosphere where your ideas matter.
