Pharmacy Support Officer (Distribution and Stores)

We are looking for highly motivated, adaptable and conscientious Pharmacy Support Officer to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful applicants will ideally have previous experience in community/hospital pharmacy; however, this may be an ideal first job opportunity as full training in all areas will be provided to successful candidates. Your duties will be rotational between the Stores and Distribution departments.
The successful candidate will be expected to possess or study towards an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
There will be a requirement to participate in extended hours working, including weekends and bank holidays, on a rotational basis.
Main duties of the job
* Carry out routine technical duties in the Stores and Distribution areas as required.
* Assist with filing and updating records, including computer data.
* Provide a responsive drug delivery service as required by the trust.
* Assemble, check, and distribute pharmaceutical products, drug requisitions, and duties involving ward visits.
* Receive medications from pharmaceutical suppliers, checking for accuracy and receiving into the pharmacy stock control system.

Person Specification
Attainment and Experience
* GCSEs in English and Mathematics level 4/C or above
* Hold or commit to completing an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services
* Knowledge of Health & Safety at work including COSHH and Manual Handling
* Work experience in a Hospital, Healthcare, or Pharmacy setting
* Basic computer skills
