Nursery School in Erdington seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Early Years Teacher to join our vibrant team that have a passion for supplying the best education for SEN children. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality early years education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel valued and supported.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas: social, emotional, physical, and cognitive.
- Work closely with parents and carers to support each child's progress and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence, confidence, and love for learning and following care plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive school culture.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant qualification in Early Years Education (e.g. Early Years Teacher Status, Level 3 Childcare qualification).
- Experience working with children in an early years setting, preferably within the EYFS.
- A sound understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum and SEN needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to teaching young children.
- Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if needed).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in a nursery or early years school setting.
- Knowledge of strategies to support children with additional needs.
