This role requires the post holder to ensure that the Chief Constable, their officers and staff and volunteers as well as
the Police and Crime Commissioner, his Chief Executive and his staff and volunteers receive clear, timely and
accurate legal advice of the highest standard and on a range of diverse legal matters.
The post holder will act as general counsel to the Chief Constable and Deputy Chief Constable on a wide range of legal
areas; be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team; and lead an established in-house Legal Services Department.
