Job overview:
As a field service engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our reputation for excellence. Providing technical maintenance support within the Injection Moulding sector to UK & Irish customer base.
Role responsibilities:
1. Install and commission injection moulding machines and automation at customer sites, ensuring appropriate commissioning inline with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
2. Provide on-site technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues with injection moulding machines and automation.
3. Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports and equipment history, using our internal systems.
4. Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills, to repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on injection moulding machines and automation.
5. Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of technical issues in order to maximize customer satisfaction.
6. A willingness to travel the UK and Ireland to meet both customer and company requirements.
7. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
8. Where appropriate support the development of documentation, training within the service team.
9. Support cross training of personnel ensuring skills & knowledge gained through formal KraussMaffei training are applied consistently.
10. Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
11. Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.
Qualifications/experience:
1. National Certificate/NVQ 3 in a relevant engineering discipline.
2. Time served apprenticeship.
3. Experience in working in a similar maintenance role/environment.
4. Experience of electrical and hydraulic systems.
5. Self-disciplined to manage own projects/jobs within the targeted time frame.
