Role Overview
This is a new role which will be responsible for managing DUAL UK’s largest trading partners, across Global, National and Network segments. The role will ensure the full extent of DUAL UK’s 25+ product lines are appropriately aligned with our Broker partners, co-creating long term growth plans, and ensuring these are delivered.
As DUAL UK grows its distribution presence, there is significant scope to shape what this looks like, working closely with the Chief Distribution Officer. While the role will oversee central engagement, it is essential this is supported by a strong interconnectivity across the business, from London Markets to Specialty and Regional Trading.
DUAL UK are one of the largest MGAs in the UK; however, there is significant untapped potential within the business. The role of Strategic Account Manager will play a key role in identifying areas we are underweight and creating plans to address this.
The role will report into the Chief Distribution Officer.
Key responsibilities
1. Manage DUAL UK’s strategic relationships with Broker Partners across Global/National/Network Accounts.
2. Bring together the full extent of DUAL’s 25+ product lines to drive a growth agenda with key trading partners.
3. Oversee and manage key trading levers including new business pipeline, renewal retention, profit reviews and panel opportunities.
4. Deepen partnerships by ensuring appropriate key personnel alignment, implementing a clear operating rhythm, create a thorough understanding of Broker portfolios and a strong pipeline of opportunities to grow.
5. Translate strategic plans into actionable local activity, with an appropriate hands-on approach to ensure plans are executed against.
6. Work closely with Regional and Divisional Teams to deliver compelling solutions to Broker and Customers.
Key skills and attributes
1. Experience of working in commercial insurance, preferably in the Broker channel.
2. Proven track record of managing strategic relationships, shaping strategy and effectively executing.
3. Strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to develop deep working relationships with brokers up to executive level.
4. Confident and capable decision maker, comfortable operating in a fast-growing organisation.
5. Progressive approach to distribution, constantly looking for new opportunities to move DUAL forward.
6. Ability to analyse and interpret data to steer accounts to deliverable sustainable growth.
