Responsibilities:
* Teach learners effectively for a scheduled timetable of contact hours. This includes planning, delivery, assessment and tracking of learning.
* Interview and provide initial assessment and guidance to learners
* Monitor, evaluate and assess individual learner progress and achievement, including internal quality assurance as required
* Undertake regular tripartite reviews at the employer’s premises.
* Develop and lead courses under the supervision of a line manager
* Contribute to the company’s quality initiatives including self-assessment, observation, appraisal and the mentoring and support of colleagues.
* Provide schemes of work, lesson plans, tracking of individual learner progress and participate in the development of teaching materials and resources
* Monitor learners’ attendance and progress
* Provide additional learning support as appropriate
* Contribute to and take up staff development opportunities
* Assist with non-teaching tasks such as attending company events, exam invigilating, induction events and award ceremonies.
* Assist in publicity and marketing of the company and its services
* Agree personal work objectives with the line manager and to regularly review progress towards their achievement
* Actively provide information, advice, and guidance (IAG) to all learners, colleagues, and peers.
Qualifications & skills/abilities
* Holds an appropriate level qualification in the curriculum area relevant to the role
* Desirable, but not essential, to hold a teacher training qualification and Assessor Award.
* Organisational skills

* Communication, numerical, IT skills
