About the Role
Finatal is seeking an experienced and dynamic Pricing Data Analyst to join our team on an interim basis. This role will play a key part in supporting our healthcare business with pricing strategies and cost analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams to develop pricing models, ensuring profitability while maintaining competitive market positioning.
This is a highly analytical role requiring advanced spreadsheet expertise, a deep understanding of data, and the ability to adapt to the complexities of 24/7 healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement pricing strategies for new and existing contracts to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
* Uplift Management: Demonstrate expertise in applying uplifts (e.g., for overheads, risks, and profit margins) to base costs, ensuring all factors are accounted for in pricing models.
* Data Analysis: Work with large, complex datasets to extract meaningful insights. Build and maintain detailed pricing spreadsheets that account for changes in schedules, hours, and staffing requirements.
* Schedule Analysis: Analyze and adapt pricing based on variable schedules, including changes in hours, staff numbers, and service requirements in a 24/7, 7-days-a-week model.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations and finance teams, to gather necessary inputs and ensure pricing aligns with business objectives.
* Reporting: Provide detailed pricing reports and recommendations to senior management, highlighting key insights and areas for improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience:
* Prior experience working in a healthcare business is highly desirable.
* Proven expertise in pricing, with demonstrable experience managing uplift calculations and cost analyses.
* Familiarity with staffing models and the unique demands of a 24/7 operational schedule.
Skills:
* Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet modelling.
* Ability to manage complex and frequently changing schedules and staffing requirements
* Ability to price new work efficiently and accurately, accounting for dynamic variables.
Interpersonal Skills:
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
* Organized and adaptable, capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
