Who are Vintage Threads? Founded in 2016, Vintage Threads are one of Europe’s leading vintage retailers operating across both online and physical stores. Every piece that we sell has been handpicked from around the world and we typically sell a highly curated selection of both designer and sportswear from the 80s, 90s and early 00s. The VT Rework department was established in 2019 and is a massively evolving facet of the business with our daily mission to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry by reworking damaged items to create some truly unique pieces. Following our recent partnerships with adidas and up and coming partnership with one of the biggest footwear retailers in the UK, the opportunities within the business are huge. What Is The Role? The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and day-to-day running of our store in Soho on Berwick Street, and is one of the most important roles within the business. As well as having highly proficient organisational and management skills, this role also sees the successful candidate becoming one of the key faces of Vintage Threads and a driving force of our culture and in-store customer experience. You will not only be driving retail sales but also driving events and pop ups in the store as we make our Soho store the hub for cultural events. Examples of the key day-to-day task are: - [ ] Managing the stock levels in store across all categories. Communication with the warehouse team to ensure the right pieces are in the store and the stock room. - [ ] Data driven weekly reports to the buying team to establish best and worst selling items. - [ ] Strong sales focus - this store is still very new and understanding the correct product matrix will be important to achieving targets and nurturing our VIP's. - [ ] Day-to-day management of the shop team and involvement in the new hire process. - [ ] Team training and onboarding. - [ ] Working with the VT brand & operations team to organising activations and events. - [ ] Capturing in store-related content for Vintage Threads channels. Passion - We are hugely ambitious with our plans for the future and want someone to come on the journey and drive us to becoming the best vintage company in the world. You will be taking on a store in one of the prestigious locations in the world. It’s up to you to drive this store to being the number 1 vintage store in the UK. Dependable - The candidate will work 5 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. Whilst we can be flexible with the rota, Fridays and Saturdays are the most crucial days for this role.
