First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Workshop Mechanical Plant Fitter to join a nationally established company in the Central Belt region, for their Falkirk-Livingston premise.
What's on Offer:
Straight to perm role
Monday to Friday
Mon to Thurs 8am to 5pm and Fri is 8am to 4:30pm
Workshop basedThis role will report directly to the Workshop Manager and you will be expected to work as part of a collaborative team of operatives in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of a wide array of heavy plant and machinery.
Duties will involve the following:
Ensure machinery operates efficiently and adheres to all safety regulations.
Take proactive steps to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.
Provide outstanding customer service and technical support as required.
Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to both customers and team members.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of work completed and parts used.
Contribute to a positive, productive work environment by collaborating with the team.
Uphold the company's high-quality standards and recognize the importance of customer satisfaction.
Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, delivering effective solutions promptly.
Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential skills, experience and knowledge:
The successful candidate must have:
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, HND, or equivalent)
Previous experience working with heavy plant machinery is essential
Full, clean driving license is preferred
In-depth knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems related to heavy plant machinery.
Demonstrated experience in the plant industry or a comparable field.
Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and the capability to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical individuals.

Capable of working both independently and within a team, showing initiative and problem-solving expertise.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail while upholding safety and quality standards.
