A vacancy for a General Science Teacher has become available in a Welsh Medium Secondary School situated just outside of Cardiff. The position will be on a full-time basis and starting after the February half term. If you have a notice period to work, the school can accommodate this for the right Teacher.
The school is open to seeing Teachers of any Science specialism, but have stated that the successful Teacher needs to be competent in delivering KS3 general Science. As this is a Welsh Medium School, you will need to be competent in teaching through the Welsh Language with the role being open to NQT’s and more experienced Teachers. As well as teaching mainstream lessons, you may be required to support small group interventions. Pupils being highlighted for interventions may be lower ability and also struggle with staying engaged in mainstream classrooms; therefore, you will need to have strong classroom management skills in order to switch between mainstream teaching and intervention groups. * Pay rates from £166 per day
