Public Transport Infrastructure Coordinator
Working Pattern: 37 hrs per week – Monday to Friday
Location: West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2
Via is currently looking for a Public Transport Infrastructure Coordinator to join our Highways Infrastructure Team based at our Trent Bridge House Office in West Bridgford, Nottingham.
You will deliver highway improvement schemes relating to bus stop and bus infrastructure including Bus Clearways, which enhances the road network and meets company business plan objectives.
The Job
Key areas of responsibility will include:
* Design and manage the delivery of highway improvement projects relating to Bus Stop infrastructure on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council.
* Be responsible for the consultation of traffic orders on behalf of clients to ensure that the legal process is followed correctly, and that effective consultation has been undertaken.
* Investigate objections and enquiries relating to traffic regulation orders received from colleagues, key stakeholders and politicians, making recommendations that take a balanced view of all, ensuring implementation of statutory duties and maintenance of Via’s reputation.
* Provide design and technical advice relating to Bus Stop Infrastructure for internal and external clients and external bodies.
* Collaborate with the company’s Construction and Commercial Division to maintain workflow, thereby supporting achievement of company business plan objectives for productivity and profit across design and build functions.
* Ensure adherence to Health and Safety management systems, processes and requirements, ensuring full compliance to health, safety and environmental legislation, policy and best practice, safeguarding staff, contractors, and members of the public.
* Provide knowledge and advice to other teams in the company, its clients, and outside organisations at a local and regional level to support project delivery. Also, act as an ambassador for Via to maintain a positive company reputation, build relationships with third parties, and promote internal expertise for business development.
The Person
Mainly you will be excited to be a vital part of our Highways Infrastructure Team, but there are just a few other things we’d like from you:
* Strong ICT skills including Microsoft Office applications, project management software, and knowledge of data management environments.
* Willing to learn current legislation relating to the design and implementation of permanent traffic regulation orders and related statutory processes.
* Excellent verbal and written skills, with experience of providing information, communicating, and working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
* Excellent attention to detail, reliable, and well organized.
* Have a full UK driving license.
