Community Support Worker
Astra Care Services Limited are a family run business that have been established for over 23 years and due to the increase in the volume of work, we are looking to recruit new staff to provide support to the elderly and disabled within their own homes. Experience is not always necessary as full training will be given at our Brierfield premises.
We currently have permanent Full time and Part time fully flexible positions in the Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale areas
Some of the duties the role will include
Personal Care: To include but not limited to, Washing, bathing, toileting, oral care, shaving, assisting with getting up in the morning/settling down for the night, assisting with medication.
Meal Preparation: Menu planning, preparing meals, serving food.
Domestic Tasks: Will include but not limited to, Light cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, collection of prescriptions.
Social Stimulation: Accompanying service users to social events, medical appointments, shopping etc.

Excellent Communication Skills
Kind, Empathetic and Understanding as well as a Good Listener
You will need to be fully flexible to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and alternate weekends.
Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle is required but not essential for certain localities.
