Expanding our UK operations, we are looking for a SCADA Senior Engineer for Large Scale Solar PV power plants & Hybrid Systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Developing, designing, establishing, and implementing standardized SCADA and Monitoring System for our solar PV power plants.
2. Commissioning of PV power plants.
3. Creating cost estimates and supporting the procurement team for the SCADA system, Power Plant Controller, and related IT equipment.
4. Specifying monitoring equipment, meteorological stations, weather sensors, PLCs, network topology/architectures of FO rings, human machine interfaces (HMIs), and other equipment together with other project stakeholders.
5. Performing on-site inspections to ensure proper running of the relevant hardware and software.
6. Working with the SCADA suppliers to validate the functionality of the site SCADA system, PV Plant controller, and HMI.
7. Coordinating with on-site engineers for installation and commissioning support and generating project documentation including commissioning documents, as-built drawings, operator manuals, and training material.
8. Monitoring the solar PV projects and related output data during the commercial operation phase and ensuring continuous monitoring of the PV Plants.
9. Preparing, writing, and presenting accurate monthly operation and energy production records and reports.
10. Providing support in analyzing root causes if there are claims such as warranty claims.
11. Assisting from time to time in various maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor/Master degree in Management or Electrical Engineering.
2. Several years of experience in automation engineering, as well as in electrical engineering and designing of Solar PV power plants.
3. Good knowledge of SCADA and communication system design, in particular SCADA system architecture, IT network, and components (server, data logger, PLC, Router, Modem, etc.).
4. Practical experience in the implementation and commissioning of SCADA and communication systems.
5. Experience in the Solar PV power plant industry.
6. Knowledge of standards such as IEC 61724 is desirable.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, E-Plan, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
8. Very good skills in English, spoken and written.
