What the Job Involves Lead the provision of financial management advice and support to internal clients and stakeholders, including financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. Monitor and develop key financial controls and operational performance management processes. Advise the Director of Resources on relevant changing legislation and professional standards. Develop and promote a strong performance culture ensuring cost-effective, efficient services align with identified needs. Deputize for the Director of Resources as required, including chairing meetings and attending leadership meetings. Lead on communications with internal and external customers, partners, and stakeholders, encouraging regular feedback for service improvement. Liaise with departmental and delivery leads to produce and deliver internal clients’ budgets. Manage resources provided under third-party service-level agreements and work on scoping and implementing changes needed for the authority’s future model.
