Job Summary:
* Responsible for the management and development of the payroll function for TJX Europe.
* Support the expansion of the company into Europe with fit for purpose payroll and system solutions in both new and existing countries.
* Evaluate the payroll production and ensure that Payrolls are produced using best practice business process.
* Ensure efficient processes with appropriate controls and documentation are in place and consistently executed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the payroll team and third party service providers in delivering timely and accurate payrolls across all of TJX Europe.
* Manage the development of the payroll team so that it is well placed to meet the increasingly challenging demands as TJX grows in Europe.
* Drive for continuous improvement in the integrity and efficiency of operating procedures within the payroll department by working closely with internal & external partners to enable change.
* Responsible for maintaining an adequate control environment - ensuring that controls are consistently executed and change control is applied appropriately.
* Managing and monitoring the performance of 3rd party payroll providers while ensuring KPI’s are met
* Ensure the timely and accurate completion of year-end reporting for all European markets.
* Prepare and report all UK statutory filing requirements including P11d’s, PSA, STBV and CSOP
* Provide management reports and analysis when required.
* Oversee the management of department resources and manage the calendar of events
* Recruit staff at appropriate levels – Line manage, coach and developing the payroll team, setting objectives and providing feedback and support for performance improvement and annual performance reviews.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
* Payroll management experience essential - preferably in Retail.
* Experience of leading payroll systems implementations is preferable.
* Experience of leading a transformation process.
* Previous experience of managing third party payroll provider’s essential.
* Diploma in Payroll Management or equivalent.
* Some experience in compensation and benefits with an understanding of job banding/matching and analysis.
* Basic understanding of expats into and across Europe.
* Experience in a service centre environment desirable.
* Stakeholder management, effective relationship building & building partnering skills
