The Clerk of Works Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Providing exceptional Clerk of Works services on a range of construction projects.
2. Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
3. Acting as the principal point of contact with project clients regarding construction quality.
4. Independently ensuring the successful delivery of the company's Clerk of Works services on all projects.
5. Conducting site inspections in Surrey, with occasional travel to Kent as required.
6. Upholding professionalism in a construction site environment, including tasks such as climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding.
7. Meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to documentation and photographic evidence following site inspections.
8. Adhering to the company's Quality Management System in the delivery of all services.
9. Building strong working relationships with clients and contractors to ensure excellent service delivery.
The Clerk Of Works
The ideal Clerk of Works will possess:
10. Proven experience in a Clerk of Works role.
11. A valid CSCS Card and driving license.
12. A deep understanding of the building industry, including materials, trades, methods, and legal requirements.
13. A keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
14. Strong time management skills and technical proficiency in identifying defects, snags, and construction quality.
15. Excellent verbal communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to remain impartial.
16. Proficiency in IT, with a willingness to embrace new technology.
