Technical Manager
Location: Redhill
Salary: £75k-£80k plus Car & benefits
We are working with one of the most highly respected, privately owned developers in the Southeast of England, as they are looking to appoint a Technical Manager based in their head office in Redhill.
This is an award-winning firm who seeks candidates with strong technical skills, self-motivation, and ambition.
Brief Summary of The Role:
* Manage allocated development sites, ensuring timely production of commercially viable detailed engineering and architectural designs.
* Obtain all necessary statutory consents, to be issued to construction staff.
* Assess and prioritise workload of the technical team, producing individual site activity programmes.
* Monitor performance against design programme.
* Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the principles of Constructions (Design & Management) Regulations.
* Ensure quality and detail of engineering design align with company and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure technical approval is obtained for all works from LPA, Building Control, NBC, EA and Highways & Drainage Authorities.
* Supervise production of the initial release VO's by team, including all engineering & design drawings.
About You:
* Degree in engineering/architectural technology or architecture (min Grade 2:1 or 1:1 or equivalent).
* Chartered or Incorporated.
* At least 5 years' relevant experience.
* Excellent knowledge of current Building Regulations and NHBC Requirements.
The role is mainly office-based, but there will be times you need to visit construction sites; therefore, a full, clean driving licence is essential.
