Experience of working with people requiring support related to mental ill health and complex needs. Experience of delivering support to people within a community/outreach setting Ability to support service users to achieve their goals & aspirations. Excellent knowledge of issues related to signs, symptoms, and treatments of mental illness; ability to assess service users declining mental health and take appropriate action. Knowledge of health and safety relevant to the role including working within a community setting Knowledge of key working, person centered support planning systems and the recovery approach An understanding of equality and diversity and how it applies to the job role and the importance of promoting service users' rights, privacy dignity and choice. Knowledge of welfare benefits entitlements appropriate to the user group Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately.
