License and Software Asset Manager - MUST BE SC CLEARED
Are you an expert in software asset management with a keen eye for compliance, cost optimisation, and vendor negotiations? Do you have experience working with Microsoft, Broadcom (VMware), and Cisco licensing? If you're ready to take ownership of a highly strategic role in Defence & Intelligence, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Manage software assets across multiple legacy and future deployable IT systems.
2. Ensure legal compliance by verifying correct licensing for all deployed software.
3. Optimise license usage to minimise costs and maximise efficiency across all systems.
4. Negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing and establish beneficial Enterprise Agreements.
5. Develop financial forecasts, maintain a 5-year cost model, and support budget planning.
6. Track software deployment and usage, ensuring compliance with EULAs and Product Use Rights (PURs).
7. Support procurement, writing business cases and ensuring software renewals align with project milestones.
8. Assess the impact of changes to licensing rules and cost structures to support strategic decision-making.
What We're Looking For:
1. Strong background in Software Asset Management (SAM) and licensing compliance.
2. Experience managing Microsoft, Broadcom (VMware), and Cisco software licenses.
3. Proven ability to negotiate with vendors and optimise software procurement strategies.
4. Experience working with high-security environments where traditional SAM tools may be restricted.
5. Strong financial forecasting and budget management experience.
6. Ability to liaise with stakeholders, including procurement teams, security professionals, and technical leads.
