The post holder will be responsible for storing data within the department following standard operating procedures. They will be responsible for designated clerical duties on the unit and carry out general administration duties while providing clerical assistance as required. The role promotes effective communication with department and other trust staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take telephone calls and pass messages to the team leader in a timely manner.
2. Assist with the confidential management of patient/staff records, ensuring that all documentation is accurately completed and promptly dispatched to the appropriate department.
3. Timely storing of investigation reports and letters.
4. Report maintenance and domestic repairs to the line manager.
5. Send and receive faxes in a safe haven environment as per Trust policy.
6. Ensure that all patient records are tracked and booked using the Trust's File Tracker computer system/relevant IT system.
7. Receive, sort, and distribute goods and post delivered to the department.
8. Attend regular departmental meetings when on duty, with attendance at least half of the meetings each year being an expectation.
