Maninplace has been responding and supporting people who present as homeless or rough living in Telford for over 17 years. As a “Housing Officer” you will be part of a dedicated team ensuring we provide a high-quality temporary accommodation service that reduces the risk of a return to homelessness or rough living for customers accessing our provision. The successful candidate must be able to confidently work as a lone worker, they will be flexible, highly self-motivated, and able to turn their hand to all aspects of the role, all while bringing a strong contribution to the organisation. Every aspect of the role will maintain a person-centred approach that supports all customers in a choice-based environment. Your tenacious and resilient nature will ensure every task is completed to a high standard and will promote the wellbeing and confidence of customers accommodated within the service. Hours of Work 40 hours per week. Working shifts will be between the operating hours of 0930 – 2030 and will include a share of weekend shifts. Maninplace operates 365 days a year, therefore shifts will include bank holiday and festive period working. Salary & Benefits £25,667.20 per annum. Pay is annualised so you will receive 12 equal payments on the 27 th of each month. Statutory annual leave entitlement 1 day recognition after 1 year of service. Any break entitlement will be paid to take on site. Mileage allowance of 45p per mile for in work travel. Organisation rebate for signing up to DBS update service. Experience in housing/supported housing or homelessness provision would be advantageous. You will be required to hold a Full UK driving licence and have use of your own vehicle, with business use insurance cover (evidence required at induction). (This may already be included within your existing policy, insurer dependant. Please check with your policy provider). Enhanced DBS Certificate is required for all applicants.
