M&E Commissioning Manager required on a permanent basis. This is to join a leading MEP Sub contractor who have been established in the industry for over 2 decades, they currently have projects in the Cambridge and Oxfordshire area – these are the sites you will be overseeing. Responsibilities: Manage the commissioning process for all M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing. Oversee testing, validation, and integration of critical systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and operational requirements. Prepare and maintain commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures. Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless system performance. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, providing effective resolutions to maintain project timelines. Ensure all documentation, including test certificates, operational manuals, and commissioning records, is accurate and complete. Conduct site inspections to monitor installation quality and compliance with health and safety regulations. Ensure critical systems, such as backup power, cooling, and security, are commissioned to meet the specific requirements of the project Requirements: Proven experience as an M&E Commissioning Manager Strong knowledge of commissioning mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, power distribution, and fire protection. Relevant qualifications/accreditations, such as: CSCS Manager Card SSSTS or SMSTS HV/LV Authorisation (desirable) Degree or HND/HNC in Building Services or similar field (preferred) Excellent understanding of commissioning procedures, testing protocols, and compliance standards. Strong problem-solving and organisational skills with a focus on detail.
