Role: ESG Data and Reporting Contractor
Rate: £550-£750 per day (outside of IR35).
Contract Duration: 6-9 months
Location: Working from home and 2-3 days in central London
The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to partner with an international renewable energy producer with over a decade-long trajectory of sustainable growth. They develop, build, own, and operate renewable energy projects globally.
Our client hires and develops the most passionate people in sustainability and is currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated ESG Data and Reporting Contractor for 6-9 months to work alongside the in-house ESG team to prepare for the upcoming regulatory reporting requirements and assurance readiness of non-financial reporting.
Responsibilities include:
1. Collecting, cleansing, and analysing large-scale sustainability data input through various sources and data management platforms.
2. Improving the ESG reporting internal control environment to ensure consistent, accurate and timely ESG information as well as auditable and efficient reporting processes.
3. Consolidating data for internal and external sustainability reporting.
4. Supporting CSRD, TCFD, and GRI disclosures.
5. Supporting internal and external ESG data audits/assurance.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
1. Excellent knowledge of the regulatory ESG landscape.
2. Understanding of ESG metrics: environmental/GHG emissions KPIs.
3. Desirable experience conducting assurance of sustainability/ESG/financial reports in audit firms or in-house roles focusing on ESG data management and improving internal control environments.
4. Experience working or leading on non-financial information audits.
5. Working knowledge of external reporting standards – namely GRI and TCFD, CSRD a plus.
6. Experience of at least single materiality assessments - double materiality assessment experience desirable.
7. Ability to analyse large sets of sustainability data, inputted through various sources.
8. Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
9. Team player and good relationship builder – an open and collaborative working style.
10. Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Proven experience of working with a large range of internal and external stakeholders.
11. Good eye for detail and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
