Howdens is seeking a Solid Surfaces Fitter to join our UK Installation Teams. You will be responsible for covering East Anglia, although the main areas are Essex and Colchester, therefore living within relative proximity to Colchester would be ideal.

Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm

What will I be doing as a Solid Surface Fitter?
•Picking up worktops from collection points and travelling to customers’ homes, completing installations of our high-quality worktops accurately and in accordance with agreed timescales.
•Liaising with customers in their homes and building rapport face to face, always being courteous to customers and upholding the Howdens Joinery reputation.
•Communicating effectively with builders, dealing with any queries as they arise.
•Accurately working from plans.
•Adhering to H & S standards, company quality standards and housekeeping protocols.
•Ensuring that the quality of the finish is excellent each time.
•Allocating tasks to an Assistant Fitter where applicable.
•Updating reports and order tracking systems??
•Minimalizing raw material wastage by recycling where possible and leaving all sites clean and tidy.
•Note: You will not be responsible for any plumbing or electrical duties on any site.
What do I need to qualify for this Solid Surfaces Fitter role?
•Experience of working in a kitchen fitting role, preferably having experience of solid surface fitting, preferably quartz worktops, wood worktops or other material.
•Use of carpentry tools.
•Strong organisational skills.
•Attention to detail.
•Communicates positively with colleagues and customers and can build effective relationships.
•Shows initiative and an innovative approach to problem-solving.
•A good geographical knowledge of the local area.
