Overview:
Caldecote Day Nursery is seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our family-run day nursery and holiday club. In 2025, we celebrate 30 years of providing quality, affordable childcare to the local community and we are looking for a driven individual who values excellence in early childhood education, team leadership, and operational management.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and have extensive experience working with children and managing a large team. We are looking for a manager who is conscientious, ambitious and will continue our drive to raise standards for the children in our care and maintain the excellent reputation we have built over the last three decades.

As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, promoting and fostering the three main areas of our ethos, as a setting:
* Creating a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment which is viewed by parents, children and staff as an extension of home; builds on the already established positive relationships between all stakeholders and upholds the feel of being family-run.
* Continuing to implement our ambitious curriculum which is delivered through the awe and wonder of The Curiosity Approach and maintaining our status as a Curiosity Approach Accredited setting.
* Ensuring that every child, no matter their starting point, is able to reach their potential through high-quality and purposeful interactions with practitioners, drawing on the support from skilled senior leaders who have experience and expertise in SEN, Time to Talk, Makaton and supporting positive Mental Health.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
* Lead and manage staff, providing guidance and support to promote effective teamwork.
* Develop and implement educational programs that align with early childhood education standards.
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address concerns.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while fostering a positive atmosphere for learning.
Qualifications:
* Childcare qualified to minimum Level 3 from a recognised awarding scheme.
* A full enhanced, clear DBS disclosure.
* Is trained (up to date) as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
* Is trained (up to date) in Safer Recruitment.
Experience:
* At least three years’ experience working in an early years setting.
* At least two years’ experience in an early years setting as a manager or deputy.
* Experience of leading a team.

Our setting caters for up to 80 children per day and has a waiting list. The role will initially start with working alongside the Director / Manager who will then step back.
