Position:
Fantastic opportunity to join Equip as Social Media Coordinator based at our Head Office in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
Working alongside the Consumer & Regional Marketing Manager and multiple departments and stakeholders, this role is central to achieving our digital communication goals. The role’s primary function is to help develop and manage the organic social channels to achieve business objectives.
The Social Media Coordinator will plan, implement and monitor Rab’s organic social media channels including Instagram and TikTok. This role will work closely with creative, digital, regional marketing teams and sponsored athletes to create engaging social first content in line with global marketing objectives. You will also advise our international teams on best practice and growth tactics for their regional social channels.
Key Responsibilities of Social Media Coordinator (including but not limited to):
* Responsible and accountable for the content strategy and delivery of all Rab Global social channels (including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube).
* Community accountability of the Rab Global Channel, including social listening for brand sentiment, customer relationships, new athlete collaborations and content opportunities.
* Responsible for key KPIs including driving and monitoring performance against the brands' 1 year and 5 year strategy.
* Develop strategy-driven content ideas, from ideation, briefing with third parties, content collection, editing.
* Be the social media specialist within the business analysing performance and spotting new trends to test and learn.
* Lead in the organic distribution of global film content working closely with creative and online teams to maximise reach.
* Write all social caption copy in line with the brand's tone of voice.
* Create brand and athlete Social Media content guidelines for our athlete and regional marketing teams.
* Consult on best practice and growth tactics for all regional accounts.
* Consult on the planning of, and briefing of assets for, seasonal campaign content for social media in line with strategy, working with wider Marketing and Creative teams to maximise impact.
* Responsible for the analysis and reporting of organic social media campaigns, to measure and optimise performance against strategic goals.
* Occasional editing of video content using apps like CapCut.
Requirements:
To join us as Social Media Coordinator you must have:
Essential
* Excellent copywriting skills – Ideally industry/activity relevant.
* Experience of using Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn in a business capacity.
* Demonstrates a keen interest in social media and the developing landscape.
* Ability to generate own content and write specific copy requirements based on the audience needs.
* Excellent team player with the ability to work independently as required.
* Good creativity and sound judgement.
* Ability to use video editing software such as CapCut.
* Current, full driving licence.
* A passion for the outdoors and a real understanding of the brands and the needs of outdoor users (including climbers, mountaineers, backpackers, trekkers, skiers and adventure travellers).
* Hard-working with the ability to plan, organise, prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
* A willingness to work extra hours and weekends as required at events either in the UK or abroad.
Desirable
* Experience within the outdoor industry.
* An understanding of social media KPI’s and best practice.
* Recognised social media or marketing qualifications.
* Adobe Premiere Pro experience.
