This role presents a unique opportunity to work in the aerospace industry, focusing on the maintenance of both commercial and service aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Performing base and, when required, line maintenance on company and customer-operated aircraft, including servicing, inspections, modifications, and defect rectification.
2. Prioritising safety by operating in accordance with the SHE Technical Standards and applying identified safe systems of work.
3. Applying countermeasures identified in applicable risk assessments to assigned operations and tasks.
4. Controlling any material or company equipment provided for tasks.
5. Maintaining cleanliness of the working area at all times.
6. Ensuring all associated base maintenance equipment is replenished and service dates are complied with.
7. Possibility of working shift patterns to meet operational demands.
Job Requirements:
1. Aviation apprenticeship background.
2. Experience with aircraft structures in a line or base maintenance facility.
3. Understanding of service or commercial aircraft engineering/operations (desirable).
4. Ability to gain full UK security clearance if not already gained.
5. Motivated team player and physically fit to undertake manual tasks around and on board the aircraft.
6. Medically fit for detachment.
