Learning Support Assistant
* Location: Cranleigh
* Salary: £85 - £115 per day
* Job Type: Temporary, Long-term, 5 days a week
* Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide essential support to students with severe learning disabilities and ASD in a school setting in Cranleigh. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners and thrives in a collaborative educational environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist SEN students in accessing the curriculum, both in a classroom setting and on a one-to-one basis.
* Support the teacher in fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
* Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Encourage students’ independence and social integration.
* Aid in the development of students’ academic and life skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience working with children or young adults, preferably in an educational setting.
* Understanding of the challenges faced by SEN students.
* Be comfortable with personal care
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, resilience, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
