As a Senior Electrical Engineer for Mott MacDonald Bentley, you will be working in a creative and challenging environment, delivering a wide range of projects across our United Utilities framework.
MMB are among one of seven partners that will support United Utilities to deliver £3bn worth of upgrades to critical infrastructure assets including water and wastewater treatment sites, pumping stations, and reservoirs within the North West during the AMP8 period.

Your work as a Senior Electrical Engineer will include the following activities:
1. Leading the interfaces and integration of the electrical & ICA design with that of other disciplines.
2. Writing technical specifications, control philosophies, schedules, reports, and risk assessments.
3. Producing Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, and Network Infrastructure Diagrams.
4. Providing engineering input to collaborative design outputs, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Pipeline & Instrumentation Diagrams.
5. Inputting into collaborative design discussions including technical workshops, HAZOPs, and ALMs.
6. Liaison with Distribution Network Operators.
7. Attendance at Factory Acceptance Tests.
8. Providing quality assurance of others' work by undertaking check/review functions.
9. Supporting the development of the electrical engineering team, coaching and mentoring junior engineers to develop their skill set and identifying the correct resource for the projects.
10. Being able to appropriately challenge Client specifications and present and defend solutions to complex problems.

What you can offer:
1. Degree qualified Electrical Engineer (preferably Chartered or Incorporated with the IET).
2. Experience in wastewater non-infrastructure and infrastructure design.
3. Commercial and contractual awareness with an understanding of programmes to deliver on time and within budget.
4. An understanding of procurement and construction with experience in delivering safe and efficient innovative and sustainable solutions.
5. Experience/knowledge of HV design would be advantageous.
