An exciting opportunity has emerged for a motivated and dedicated individual to join the security management team at Broadmoor Hospital as the Deputy Security Operations Manager. This role is designed to work closely with the Security Operations Manager to streamline operations within this highly specialized area and enhance the overall leadership quality across security services.
We are looking for a candidate with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to take on this critical role. The ideal applicant will possess a keen attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work effectively within a management team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that services comply with the High-Security Psychiatric Services (Arrangements for Safety and Security Directions 2019), the National Clinical Security Framework, Trust policies and procedures, and performance targets. Key responsibilities include providing outstanding leadership in the following areas:
• Control Room operations
• Reception management
• Staff and visitor search areas
• Patients' social visits
• Contractor management
• Annual security audits
• Research and development of security products
• Procurement of security technologies and systems
The Deputy Security Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight of security operations, ensuring compliance with DHSC Safety and Security Directions, the National Clinical Security Framework, and Trust policies. Key duties include managing control room operations, reception, staff searches, patient social visits, and contractor supervision. The role is responsible for conducting security audits, researching and procuring security technologies, and managing budgets and shift scheduling. Additionally, the post holder leads recruitment drives and training programs to ensure a highly skilled security team. By optimising resources and implementing best practices, the role enhances security services, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
