We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse - Non Medical Prescriber to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Five Wells, a category C Prison located in Wellingborough.
HMP Five Wells is a male resettlement prison with a capacity of 1750 inmates.

This position is full time youll receive an annual salary up to £53,077per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Substance Misuse Non - Medical Prescriber, your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. Undertakes Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients
2. Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
3. To provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within their sphere of competence.
4. To carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after.
5. To provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history.
6. To carry out a clinical review with the patient and update care plans accordingly

14. Registered professional with current active registration (NMC, GPHC, HCPC)
15. BSc or equivalent qualification
16. Non-medical prescribing qualification
17. Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery of primary care services including, Clinical Governance, Quality & Outcomes Framework
18. Knowledge of national standards that inform practice (eg National Service Frameworks, NICE guidelines etc)
