Job Description HR ADMINISTRATOR / HR ADVISOR SANDIACRE, NOTTINGHAM (12 MONTHS FTC) COMPETITIVE SALARY Progress Rail is looking to recruit an HR Administrator to support management on all aspects of HR and employment legislation whilst supporting the HR Team and administering a range of HR processes. THE ROLE: As an HR Administrator you will be required to: Provide general professional advice and guidance on employment issues Ensure a smooth and effective recruitment process is applied in line with legal and Company guidelines to point of induction, including interviewing and candidate selection Manage the authorisation of employee time and attendance bookings on Microsoft AX Send Payroll queries and chasing a response from internal stakeholders (Production Managers, Supervisors and or Team Leaders) Carry out administration of annual leave bookings for shop floor staff Manage shift data, shift rotation, new employee setup on Microsoft AX Support and advice Managers with performance management and conduct return to work interviews after periods of absence, based on trends analysis. Act as HR representative in such meetings Deal with HR aspects of employee health issues including occupational health and surveillance Update and maintain the various HR database systems, including the production of reports, KPI’s and other statistics as and when required Undertake timely and effective administration of HR & Training documentation including input to the various HR database systems Assist in the identification and provision of training and development needs, including refresher training, with input to the Company training plan Support the on-going review of HR processes and policies Assist in employee engagement projects and ongoing initiatives Support in ensuring Equal Opportunities are actively promoted within all aspects of employment Ensure data is maintained in line with GDPR requirements Comply with and promote Company Health and Safety policies and take appropriate responsibility Travel to other sites within the UK when necessary; some travel will be out of office hours Out-of-hours working required to meet demand THE CANDIDATE: The ideal HR Administrator: Qualified with a business related degree Some experience of working in a business environment CIPD qualified or working towards achieving (beneficial) Knowledge of UK employment law Microsoft office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Good interpersonal skills Able user of HR databases Numerate Good interpersonal skills Full clean driving licence BENEFITS: 33 days holiday per annum, pro rata (inclusive of bank/public holidays) Company pension scheme with 5% employee and 7% employer contribution As a member of the Group Personal Pension Plan employee covered by the Company funded life assurance for 3½ times salary Access to employee discounts hub Discounted healthcare cash plan Access to 24/7 free Employee Assistance programme Various employee recognition schemes ABOUT PROGRESS RAIL: Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, is one of the largest integrated and diversified providers of rolling stock and infrastructure solutions and technologies for the global rail industry.
