Principal Parking Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Parking Engineer to join our Parking and Traffic team based at our London office!
What you will be doing:
* Provide effective management of direct reports (including undertaking performance reviews) and be the technical lead on multiple projects.
* Assume responsibility for financial control, quality, and technical input for all assigned projects.
* Develop new initiatives and pursue opportunities through business development activities that will raise personal and company profile and contribute to professional and public activities that have management team approval.
* Ensure that projects are managed within their respective budgets.
* Prepare fee estimates and quality submissions for new work.
* Comply with the QMS.
The role specifically requires a detailed knowledge of parking scheme design, regulations and policies, highways design, traffic engineering, transportation planning, and the ability to develop and initiate schemes from inception through to completion.
What we are looking for:
* Relevant 1st Degree or equivalent
* Membership of a professional institution (e.g., MICE or MCIHT) or aiming towards this status
* Strong understanding of parking schemes and associated regulations.
* Strong understanding of traffic and transportation techniques, highway design and transport planning principles and a proven track record in project design and delivery;
* Proficiency using spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Outlook)
* Experienced user of CAD design software
* Good understanding of traffic and highway legislation
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technical / industry / TfL standards

* Salary: £48,000 - £60,000 per annum DOE
