We are seeking an experienced Principal Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join our team.
Job Summary:
As a Principal Power Systems Electrical Engineer, you will conduct load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis to ensure the reliable operation of our electrical power systems.
Responsibilities:
* Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Stability Analysis:
1. Conduct thorough analyses to ensure the reliable operation of our electrical power systems.
* Manage and Analyse the Electrical Load Budget:
1. Optimise system performance by conducting detailed analyses.
* Develop and Validate Electrical Models:
1. Accurately model complex electrical systems to support system design and operation.
* Collaborate with Multi-Discipline Teams:
1. Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve power system-related issues.
* Preparation of Technical Reports:
1. Communicate results and provide recommendations through clear and concise reporting.
* Mentorship:
1. Mentor and develop other team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* Degree Qualified in Electrical Engineering:
1. Earned a degree in electrical engineering or have equivalent experience.
* Chartered Engineer:
1. Hold a chartered engineer certification or be working towards it.
* Knowledge of High-Power and Medium-Voltage Power Systems:
1. Have in-depth knowledge of high-power and medium-voltage power systems and distributions.
* Experience Conducting Load Flow and Load Budget Analysis:
1. Conducted load flow and load budget analysis in previous roles.
* Prior Experience with Power System Analysis Tools:
1. Familiarity with power system analysis software tools like ETAP, Simulink/Simscape, and MATLAB.
* Effective Stakeholder Management Skills:
1. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
