Deputy Home Manager (Nursing/Residential Care) Location: Port Glasgow Salary: £23/hour Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Home Manager to join a dynamic care team and contribute to delivering the highest standard of care to Service Users. Reporting directly to the Home Manager, they will supervise nursing and care staff, ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, and maintain a professional and caring environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the Home Manager in ensuring that care is delivered to a high standard, meeting all regulatory and company policies. Provide hands-on nursing care, assess the health and social care needs of Service Users, and maintain individualised Care Plans. Supervise and mentor care staff, ensuring they work effectively to support Service Users' health, wellbeing, and personal care needs. Administer medications, oversee health checks, and liaise with GPs and health professionals as needed. Manage staff rotas, supervise HR activities such as recruitment, sickness monitoring, and appraisals in the absence of the Home Manager. Promote a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for Service Users and their families. Support the Home Manager with budgeting, marketing the care home, and maintaining its good reputation within the local community. Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications: Required: Nurse qualification (nursing). Active NMC pin Previous management or supervisory experience in a care environment. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Satisfactory PVG Strong clinical experience Desired: SVQ in leadership and management Why Join Us?
