Job Title: Interim Financial Controller Location: Wirral We are excited to be partnering with a growing organisation, currently undergoing significant transformations, to appoint an experienced Interim Financial Controller on a 6-month contract. Day rate: £500 - £600 per day (depending on experience) 6-month contract Job summary: As the Interim Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation during a period of change. Reporting directly to the UK Financial Director, you will lead a high-performing finance team and work closely with senior management to deliver financial excellence. Your responsibilities will include financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, financial analysis, compliance, and team leadership. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the business as it undergoes restructuring, implements a new ERP system, and drives cultural and operational improvements. Key responsibilities: - Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. - Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working with department heads to ensure accurate and detailed budgets. - Manage and optimise cash flow and oversee working capital efficiency. - Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and evaluate investment options. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. - Lead and mentor the finance team, driving high performance and collaboration. Qualifications: - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified. - Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Finance Director role within a large corporate environment. - Strong leadership skills with a background in team management. - Advanced financial analysis, reporting, and Excel skills. - Excellent communication abilities to engage with non-financial stakeholders. Ideal candidate: You will be a detail-oriented, proactive individual with significant experience in managing financial operations in a dynamic environment. Experience with ERP implementation and driving organisational change would be a plus.
