This is a wonderful opportunity for a clinical specialist podiatrist to join the award winning CLCH Practice Development Allied Health Professional team. We are looking for a podiatrist who has a passion for developing both the registered and non-registered podiatry workforce through embedding quality improvement in practice.
The Practice Development roles focus on the four pillars of practice – clinical, education, leadership and research.
Ideally, the candidate we are looking for would have experience in adult and children’s podiatry community pathways of care.

Based at the CLCH Academy in Central London
Be highly visible and work Trust-wide where podiatry services are offered in all the clinical divisions
Encouraged to develop and optimise their clinical expertise promoting education and learning opportunities for the podiatry workforce at CLCH

Ensuring quality and range of learning and development opportunities for all bands of clinical staff within the registered and non-podiatry workforce to ensure safe and effective patient care and practice.
Support and facilitate the development of podiatry clinical practice through ensuring appropriate support mechanisms with supervision, direct observations of practice competency frameworks and learning contracts are being implemented.
Develop, co-ordinate, provide and evaluate training programmes and development activities for all registered and unregistered podiatry clinical staff.
Develop strategies which enhance podiatry staff recruitment, career development workforce objectives and staff satisfaction.
Promote and role model high standards of care through the demonstration of clinical expertise and quality improvement
Role model and facilitate a positive learning environment in the workplace where staff development is encouraged and supported.
Facilitate induction, education and continuing professional development for all levels of registered and non-registered podiatry staff within the division, profession and / or speciality

The salary in the advert reflects the pay increase for 2024-2025. Please be advised that this increase will not come into effect until October 2024 when any monies owed will be back paid.
To work with the Academy team, AHP Lead, Chief AHP, Professional AHPs and Clinical Leads to identify specific training needs and plan programmes to ensure staff are competent and have the right skills to undertake their roles.
To work with the Academy team, AHP Clinical Practice & Education Lead, Chief AHP, Lead AHP, clinical teams, Heads of Clinical Services (HOCS), Divisional Director of Nursing and Therapies (DDNTs) as an ambassador for practice development.
To support Professional AHP Leads, DDNTs and Clinical Leads in planning, implementing, and evaluating practice changes in line with evidence and best practice.
