Our department The Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering is the birthplace of modern engineering education, informing the technology leaders of today and tomorrow since 1800. Our mission is to advance knowledge and commerce in mechanical and aerospace engineering and apply fresh thinking to the challenges faced by industry and society. We offer a full range of mechanical and aerospace engineering programmes at Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate Taught (PGT) levels (www.strath.ac.uk/mae) as well as an active and successful research and knowledge exchange culture. The opportunity We are currently seeking to employ two Technicians who will be responsible for supporting laboratory activities as assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor. You will be competent in the operation of all standard workshop machinery to a high level of accuracy and be able to interpret engineering drawings. We would love to hear from you if you are educated to a minimum of HNC level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline, in addition to having significant, relevant work experience in a similar role.
