Job Description:
Responsibilities / Tasks
1. Formulate the Strategic Sales plan for the country organization with a focus on service sales from the SFT portfolio, including field service, repairs, spares, technical audits, training, and service projects.
2. Responsibility for all SFT Service Sales.
3. Ensure RFQ’s are processed according to the procedures of the department.
4. Maintain a focus on effective time to quote.
5. Identify potential business opportunities for service products and applications while managing potential risks.
6. Develop effective customer relationships to promote the GEA service organization.
7. Ensure customer satisfaction aligns with business objectives and actively manage key customer accounts.
8. Manage professional relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
9. Support the internal service team in providing information for smooth handling of enquiries and execution of orders.
10. Manage the external Service Sales team, providing guidance and support to follow the strategic sales plan.
11. Take ownership of the budget and maintain awareness of price/margin based on the budget strategy.
12. Participate in technical training to understand both new machine and service products sold by GEA.
13. Participate in marketing opportunities and trade fairs as requested.
14. Present monthly sales reports including opportunities, business risks, and competitor analysis.
15. Manage and update the CRM system effectively.
16. Provide cover of the I-BASE and report updates on installed equipment and its service history.
17. Provide expert technical service sales support on cross-selling service and new machine sales opportunities.
18. Escalate operational issues to the Director of Service.
19. Participate in the implementation of change as directed.
20. Provide monthly reports and analysis as requested by the Director of Service.
21. Support the process to resolve bad debt issues where necessary.
22. Manage HR and QSHEE actions regarding direct reports.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering, or related field) preferred.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of service products, including field service, repairs, spares, technical audits, training, and service projects.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in sales, project management, or specific technical areas beneficial.
Experience: Proven track record in service sales within the engineering or technical services industry; experience in developing and executing strategic sales plans; experience in managing and supporting sales teams.
Technical Experience: Experience with CRM systems and sales management software.
Management Experience: Experience in leading and managing a team, with strong organizational and leadership skills; experience in managing budgets, pricing strategies, and margin analysis.
Customer Relationship Management: Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers; experience in identifying and managing business risks and opportunities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and provide actionable solutions; ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and explain technical products and services; willingness to participate in continuous technical training.
Customer-Oriented: Strong focus on customer satisfaction and relationship-building; ability to handle customer complaints and resolve conflicts effectively; ability to adapt to changing business environments and market conditions; willingness to travel as required for customer visits, trade fairs, and other business-related events.
