Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Wakefield. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about supporting children's learning and development across the primary age range.
Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Assist with small group work and 1:1 support, ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum.
* Help with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and learning activities.
* Encourage positive behaviour and support social and emotional development.
* Work with pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional needs, to promote progress.
* Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and assist in tracking learning outcomes.
* Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting (preferred).
* A positive and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
* A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
